Last month we at C2 Catering held our ‘’Open House’’ or so called ‘’Client Appreciation Event’’ at our preferred venue Coles Garden. Indeed, every few months, we put together these gatherings so that future brides, grooms, and their families as well as other prospective customers (corporate and social) can sample a bit of what we do (food, décor and service). We also collaborate with other vendors to put on a full reception production showing examples of everything from flower arrangement and place setting inspiration to wedding cakes and possible seating areas and entertainment (DJ, photo booths).
Well, the event is free of charge for attendees but is meant to bring more business to our catering company. Basically, this is budgeted for as event marketing. In fact, this event cost us about $10,000 between food and labor. It was a fantastic event attended by 110 people.
After checking in at the front, guests walked straight into our first tasting area that featured four mouth-watering stations.
Rocks set up all around with different levels of elevation, was our elegant and colorful Complete Taco Bar where guests have the chance to build their own tacos with different combinations of meats (chicken, beef, fish, pulled pork), condiments, sauces and spreads. And for more refreshment options, fancy bottles of our special mango margarita were placed all around the station. The ‘’Mango Margarita’’ was a guest favorite.
Displayed in the very center of the ballroom was an elegant Martini Bar with a variety of condiments. There, attendees got to taste our traditional Cheddar Creamy Mac & Cheese, our Rich Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes and our delicious Cubed Smoked Brisket all presented in small round chafers along with a variety of condiments presented in martini glasses.
From there guests could stop by the Huge Paella Pan Presentation to try a C2 Catering’s take on the classic Smoked Brisket, Bacon Wrapped Chicken with smoked Gouda and cognac cream, and Coconut Confetti Rice. Innovative Potato Slinkys and Orange honey BBQ Pulled pork were also part of the show.
Venturing inside the Grand Ballroom, more tempting aromas were waiting to greet curious palates. Built on site was a large wood and Ice station full of a variety of fruits and imported cheeses. Besides the Fresh fruit presentation and the imported cheese display, vegetable crudité martinis, and Jumbo shrimp Cocktail shooters were at the center of the show accompanied with Jalapeno Pimento Cheese with Roasted Red pepper and Pepper Jelly and cream cheese spread with Rosemary. Yummy!
The finishing touch in this area was the Full Mimosa Bar. This interactive experience was a guest favorite as each person was able to grab a glass, add a selection of fruit and herbs, and then muddle their own mixture. After that, the bartender took over and stirred in some select tequila and other special mixes to complete the concoctions.
The excitement continued outside in the Outdoor section (Patio) with our bar and drink station ready to be explored. In addition to all four food stations, three different tasty canapés were tray-passed: Pork tenderloin A top roasted sweet potato cup with cherry walnut chutney, Burger Slider on waffle and Thai chicken Salad in wonton cups.
We cannot wait until we get to do this all again! Cheers!
